When: Friday after Thanksgiving
Description The Friday after Thanksgiving Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive in Wenonah Park at 7pm for a special performance before going to the Delta College Planetarium to talk with all the good little boys and girls. Kids can bring flashlights to help guide Santa's sleigh in for a safe landing.

Description The Midland Santa Holiday Parade began in 1985. Each year the Midland Santa Holiday Parade has a holiday theme and a selected Grand Marshall for that year. The sole purpose of the Midland Santa Holiday Parade is to run a holiday parade while providing The Salvation Army's local Toys for Kids program with some much needed funding.

Description

Each year, Santa comes to Midland on the Tuesday evening after Thanksgiving. He arrives at the Tridge, makes his way up Ashman St. and helps our community light the Courthouse for the Holidays. Then he makes his way over to the Santa House. He spends his Holiday season there, visiting with families from all over, delighting children and adults, bringing joy to everyone who stops by to visit. Sometimes Santa's reindeer are able to visit as well. In October, an international Santa Claus school is allowed to sublease the house for a few days.

Art Annual holiday art fair

Description Visitors to the The Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art’s Annual Holiday Art Fair will enjoy a wide selection of unique art and gifts from over 90 juried artists. Stroll through the Center’s lobbies for paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics and other distinctive art and gift ideas. There will also be fresh-baked goods at the Sweet Shoppe, lunch by Café American will be available, artists demonstrations by Studio School faculty, joyful songs performed by an exciting line up of young musical performers from the community, and a Saturday afternoon visit by Santa.

Description Events include a live auction, delectable food prepared by Apple Mountain chefs, a DJ and more. Over 100 designers will be contributing fabulously decorated trees and wreaths to be raffled off by WNEM TV5's Katie O'Mara to lucky winners. Also, 20 different local vendors will be displaying their specialties. The money raised throughout the weekend supports the Junior League of Saginaw Valley’s mission of promoting voluntarism, training its members, and improving the community.

Description Historic Chesaning presents the annual Candlelight Walk Thanksgiving weekend.  Let the glow of thousands of candles and tiny twinkling lights fill you with the holiday spirit.  Enjoy the free horse drawn carriages, the wonderful display of gingerbread houses created by local school children, the festival of trees at the Peet Community center, light magic in the village (a display of whimsical objects decorated in lights), many activities at Market Street Square, and don’t forget to visit Santa.
