We started the day at the Talisman resort and headed out for a hardy breakfast. Tight, twisting, open, flowing roads are what make Grey Bruce famous. Staying off the Provincial Highways like 21,6,10 and 26 is easy since there is an abundance of paved County roads.
We are now entering the Beaver Valley. Isn’t it something, I just love coming here. The famous Bruce Trail winds its way through the beautiful Beaver Valley for 89 km past some of the most spectacular scenery and viewing points in the Georgian Triangle area of Ontario, Canada.
The Beaver Valley is one of Ontario's most spectacular natural features. The area provides four seasons relaxation, excitement, recreation and tourism facilities in unspoilt countryside just a short drive from the Greater Toronto area or US border crossings.
Famous for its cliffs and meadows providing gorgeous scenery for the artist or photographer; canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing on the Beaver River and Eugenia Lake, it also has miles of hiking (the Bruce Trail) and cross-country skiing (Kolapore); down-hill skiing at the Beaver Valley Ski Club or Talisman Mountain Resort; quiet cycling trails including the Georgian Trail, quaint villages, spectacular waterfalls, caves, and gorges; little-known Provincial Parks or Conservation areas, artisan and antique stores and community events.
